DigitalOcean, a cloud service provider that has been operating for nearly a decade, emerged around the same time as the familiar Vultr. It is also a competitor to Linode.
Currently, DigitalOcean has multiple data centers in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and it offers flexible hourly billing. Users can easily switch or delete data centers according to their needs, which allows for changing IP addresses and data centers.
For new users of DigitalOcean, there are promotional benefits upon registration. New users are awarded $200 in credits, which are valid for 60 days. If we are interested in experiencing the benefits of being a new user, we can register for a DigitalOcean account. Vultr.com also provides a simple overview of the registration and trial process.
1.Here, we can see that there are perks for new registered accounts.
2.We can register using our Google or GitHub accounts with just one click, or we can register using our email address. In this case, I will choose to register with my email.
3.We need to fill in our email, nickname, and password for the registration process.
4.After registering with our personal information, an email will be sent to our inbox, and we need to log in to the provided email to activate and verify the account.
5.Once the email verification is complete, we will need to choose between using a credit card or PayPal for activation by making a minimum deposit of $5. These are the only two payment methods currently supported. In this case, I will choose PayPal.
7.It is important to note that DigitalOcean operates on a post-payment mechanism. Monthly billing occurs on the 1st of each month, deducting from the account balance if available.
If there is no balance, the payment will be deducted from the linked credit card or PayPal account. If none of these payment methods can be used, the account will be locked.
After making the deposit, we can immediately receive a $200 credit bonus, which can be used to try out any of DigitalOcean’s products. If we find it useful, we can choose to recharge and continue using the service in the long term.
If anyone is interested in trying out a DigitalOcean trial account, they can give it a try. And if they find it beneficial, they can recharge and extend the usage for a longer period.
